Telegram → Asana Bot

In a remote team, action items live in Telegram messages. Most never make it to the tracker. This automation closes that gap — a message becomes a task in seconds, with no manual steps.

Problem

Action items discussed in Telegram rarely made it into Asana — tasks were lost in chat history and never followed up on.

Solution

A Make.com automation triggered by a Telegram webhook. Supports both text and voice input, uses AI to extract task names, and maps users to their Asana projects.

Make.com automation flow: Telegram Bot → Router → two paths (text via Gemini / voice via Whisper) → Asana

How it works

1

Text Message Route

User sends a text message → Gemini extracts a concise task title → task created in Asana with correct assignee.

2

Voice Message Route

User sends a voice memo → OpenAI Whisper transcribes it → Gemini extracts task name → Asana task created.

3

User Mapping

Telegram username mapped to Asana user ID and project — each person's tasks land in the right place automatically.
